The interesting thing about infants are that, they have no ability to do anything without help unlike animal kingdom infants. Infants in animal kingdom can do things like walk and move when they are born. The scientific study of biological, cognitive, social, and personality development throughout the life span. A major issue in developmental psychology is that nature-versus-nurture question. Cross-sectional is looking at a number of a group all at the same time but with different age group. Longitudinal approaches is looking at a specific group of people and studying them for a period of time. There are pros and cons for both methods. The con for cross-sectional method is that it is quick, therefore coheres effect may be the problem here. These different group may be different when examining their different age, but they may grow up to be like this different group. Young adulthood is 18 to 40 years. Middle adulthood is 40 to 65 years.
