Ciliopathies are all presenting the same, and the reason being is that the primary cilium if it happens to be a non-motile response, is on every single cell: serves as an antenna/sensory structure. Situs inversus = everything should"ve developed on the proper side but during the embryonic development, it didn"t happen that way. There are a lot of associated maladies that are associated with this: most do not survive and are born dead. Hard time diagnosing ciliopathies without actually going in to sequence genomes. Notch signaling wraps in a couple of pathways but also with c. elegans, it brings together 2 pathways that are required for forming structure. It"s the same kind of blueprint for something we use all the time: some people can be presented with tangles and plagues, but they don"t present with.
