Pectoral girdle: muscles that move the shoulder: posterior: Trapezius attached to the spine of the scapula, muscle that move the shoulder, attaches spinous processes and spinous scapula. Move the scapula in many different directions. When isolate certain area of the muscle ,we do not have the full contraction, partially contract, selectively contract. Movement is different when contract the inferior/middle fibres, very different movements. Superior fibre- upward rot. , reach up when we grab something. Accessory nerve- cranial nerve: rhomboid muscles (+/-) major and minor, minor. Minor- smaller, do nearly the same thing. Innervation: dorsal scapula nerve (same to the levator scapulae: levator scapulae- elevates and downwardly rotate the scapula, anterior. Subclavius muscle- underneath the clavicle, hold in place, stabilizer of the clavicle (to r1) Just holding clavicle still, other muscle can move. Pectoralis minor- attach from coracoid process to r3-5.
