Sawchuk is great but you don"t consider the weight of the greatness and what it did to him. Depression it caused, abuse toward wife and family, see moments of injury and pain. Acts like a mystery, trail of breadcrumbs. comes back to ideas later. Poems are interpretive. in a way because its confusing, you"re allowed to become the editor or narrator. encouraged to interpret the book differently. Content of this text is influence by the medium in which its presented.
