Tutorial 5: psych 2310 has strong biomedical view. Voice in head names andrew was in better shape when taking meds. When using meds, sleep most of the time, very jittery. Released from hospital went to florida (its like medication bc of beauty) In preschool, got overwhelmed easily, couldn"t get along at school, was very active, good at sports. Sophomore - bad race, fell (ppl thought he was on drugs) - couldn"t become captain and quit bc was devestated. He"s at war and he"s winging bc not locked up in hospital. Needs his lithium/ he"s a different person using meds. Released from jail if he sees psychiatrist and takes meds lived in homeless shelter. Hears voices and sometime confuses them for normal people voices was a very functional student. Didn"t let anyone know she was having problems. When stresses, the voices are negative and distracted. Doesn"t want to end up like her mom inc meds bc worent working.
