Organum is a polyphonic type of music (plural organa) (with fourths and fifths), has a low part, sounds like a harmonized choir with strong long-pitched melody , an early form of polyphony based on a plainsong. : it is called organum because of the organ, when you play a note it goes on. Catholic church loves 3 because of the trinity (triple meter)
