The odometer indicates the total number of miles driven. Some vehicles have a trip odometer that can be set back to zero. The fuel gauge shows how much fuel is in the tank. If you go below one-quarter, you risk running out. Try to keep the tank at least half full to prevent freezing. This light warns you when your engine coolant is too hot. This light warns you when the oil is not circulating with the proper pressure. It does not, however, tell you the amount of oil in the engine.
