Subclavian - once passed rib, change its name to axillary. Radial a. - head toward thumb side of hand; radial nerve in spiral groove. Head toward pinky side of hand (medial) Give off 6 branches to supply space btw ribs. Vertebral a - upper spinal cord and brainstem. Internal thoracic - 1st 6 interior intercostal spaces. Thyrocervical trunk (cervical - neck; thyroid glands - right in the middle of neck); give off 4 branches: Deep cervical - supply cervical vertebrae; travel up along cervical vertebrae. Supreme intercostal - 1st 2 posterior intercostal arteries. Lateral edge of rib 1 to superior edge of pec minor. Inferior edge of pec minor to inferior edge of lat. Acha & pcha both supply humeral head and shoulder joint = glenohumeral joint.
