Written around 1,700 bce, a copy of an older papyrus from 3,000 bce. A series of 48 cases was described, including head and neck injuries, consequences and treatments. Include the first known description of the brain"s exterior strikes the importance of the head (brain) in controlling behavior. Ancient egypt was still convinced that the heart was the seat of the soul: Plato: highest part responsible for reasoning and situated in the brain. Aristotle was convinced that the heart was the seat of the soul. The brain only counterbalances the heat of the heart and form a functional unit with it. Galen (130-200 ce) started to make experiments on animals: The voice comes from the brain, not from the heart.
