How are somatic disorders treated: clients seek psychotherapy as a last resort, those with illness anxiety disorder receive the treatments applied to. Illness anxiety treatment: conversion and pain disorders respond to therapy better than somatic symptoms disorders, illness anxiety disorders respond to the same interventions as ocd clients.
