Pavlov himself did not make the dog salivate, they salivated when they saw the person who was gonna feed them come in. The dogs did not learn the association between pavlov and food. Response tends to be quite later than what you consumed, can still learn the association between the stimulus and the response. Operant conditioning is a type of learning in which an individual"s behavior is modified by its consequences. Behaviors followed by favorable consequences become more likely. Behaviors followed by negative consequences become less likely. Different animals were put in a constrained environment with different operators. So we could see the different types of behavior that will be performed.
