Its this cultural ideal that we have about masculinity. Its subordination of femininity and other types of masculine behavior. Don"t be a girl/don"t wear a skirt. Men should not be like women, or have any feminine features. Lone man they rely on themselves, doesn"t need anyone else. There will be variation in different themes throughout cultures, times, as men age etc. For example, the sexual theme is going to different for when a man is young (should be having sex a lot) vs. when old (is lucky to be having sex at 80). Or in certain cultures it would be evaluated by how many children you have, not just how many women you sleep with. Pressure to have sex will be more pressured as younger, but the wealth/status/money will pressure older men more.
