Mutant cells form after a disruption of r n a and d n a within normal cells, which may produce cells that differ in form, quality, and function from the normal cell. 0 - early cancer, when abnormal cells remain only in the place they originated. 1-3 - higher numbers indicate more extensive danger: larger tumor size and/or spread of cancer beyond the organ in which it first developed to nearby lymph nodes and/or organs adjacent to location of primary tumor.
