Social psychology: study about others" impact on our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as our influence on other people. Judgement basis for conflict, war, friendship, romance tells us who will be in our life and who will not be. Attributions an explanation for the cause of behavior or events that serve to either build relationships or destroy them. Fundamental attribution error: takes place when we judge a person"s behaviors or actions based on dispositional (internal) factors as opposed to situational (external) factors. Situational: take a look at the circumstances that make the person act that way in that time and place. To be accurate must be based on patterns. Saliency bias : is the tendency to use available traits to make a judgment about a person or a situation. Self- serving bias: people tend to take credit for things they did well and blame outside factors/people for their failures.
