Primark principle: it"s important that the individual is motivated by the reward. An more rewarding activity can reinforce another less rewarding activity. Primary reinforcers: biological reinforcers, such as candy, food, etc. Secondary reinforcers: associated with primary reinforcers, like money. Negative reinforcement: taking something bad away to increase behaviors. Positive punishment: adding something bad to decrease behaviors.
