S vivian jackson 60 year old female admitted to the ed with c/o intense abdominal pain that radiates to her back, nausea & vomiting. Vital signs: 108/70 37. 9 -128-28 o2 sat 88% she rates pain at 7/10. Pain is biggest issue of pancreatitis, priority problem. Meds given: dilaudid 2mg ivp x2, zofran 4mg ivp. Sometimes people have ng tubes to keep acid out of the stomach. Enzymes are stuck in the pancreas, but fluids still seep out with enzymes in it.
