Document Summary

Occurs when an organism makes a connection. When an organism sees two things together all the time, an organism then associates the two things together. Occurs when a neutral stimulus becomes associated with an innately meaningful stimulus and acquires the capacity to elicit a similar response. When it happens, it"s out of your control. In pavlov"s experiment, it was the food. The reflexive response to a stimulus; automatically produced. Was neutral, now elicits a conditioned response after being paired with an unconditioned response. A response elicited by the conditioned stimulus. Occurs after the conditioned stimulus is associated with the unconditioned stimulus. Is usually similar to the conditioned response. Learning occurs when pair neutral stimulus with an unconditioned stimulus. The loud noise causes a baby to cry, a ur. A white rat is shown to the baby, it is neutral, because there is no response. The white rat and loud noise are combined, so the white rat becomes the cs.
