Document Summary

Support your position with references to the two films. After watching both of the films from this module, i believe it would be fair for me to claim that. Happy new year would fall on the form-driven side of the spectrum, while diaboliques presents us with an intense, narrative-driven storyline. My initial impression of happy new year was rather lackluster, and i felt as if it left something to be desired in regards to a fulfilling storyline. On the contrary, my initial impression of diaboliques was more favorable. My main qualm with happy near year was that it appeared to have focused a little too much on formal elements to my liking (though, not nearly as much as warhol"s empire). Thus, i would like to say that happy near year is a form-driven film because it did not seem as if the narrative was the focus of the film.
