England tried for a second time to generate the revenue. Place taxes on a certain item that has a duty to be access on it. To prevent the social movement from the colonist, england are going to use troops to maintain peace and order. One way to protest is widespread economic boycott. Not buy any product that has an access tax. The british business wants the parliament to overturn the townshend"s act because it affect their businesses. England however is still committed to generate the revenue. In a couple of years, they settled a peace, meaning no tax. England is going to try a third attempt to generate the revenue. Established a new form, called the tea act. East india trading company; nearly bankrupted trading company.
