That means you consider yourself to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (p. 4) Women who are emotionally and sexually attracted to other women. Fun fact: the greek poet sappho was a lesbian and wrote about other women. She was born on an island called the island of lesbos, and that is where the term lesbian comes from. There are different types of lesbians but there is not a typical lesbian. Men who are emotionally and sexually attracted to other men. Fun fact: gay also means happy or carefree, but is used today to usually describe homosexual men. People who are attracted to either sex. Preferring one sex over another is still considered bisexual. Many people identify as bisexual when going through their transitional stage before they come out as gay or lesbian.
