SOCSCI 2EL0 Lecture Notes - Lecture 8: Structured Interview
Document Summary
This section comments on the method utilized to obtain results of program analysis. There are identified strategies and some of them are listed below: Interviews with key stakeholders: satisfaction questionnaires, review of program literature (manuals etc. ) In a structured interview the type and order of questions and nature of corresponding follow-up questions are pre- determined and used consistently with all interviewees. Unstructured questions are open-ended and the progression of the questions is not pre- determined. During interviews with key stakeholders, ideally, there is recognition on behalf of the community stakeholder that the goals of the program are met. For example, a women"s health clinic may indicate that as a result of the shelter program facilitating access to safe housing, women"s health outcomes have improved. In this case, an interview with a key stakeholder, the women"s health clinic, confirmed that the objectives of the housing program were met.
