Background and context
Mosses are non-vascular plants and belong to the phylum Bryophyta. These plants do not have flowers and reproduce by spores. Most of their lifecycle is the haploid stage including the vegetative phase. Mosses can be seen growing on roofs and rocks in rainy seasons.
