Lead refers to number of cables coming off a person or number of electrical views of heart standard in clinic practice, 12 lead provide 12 views of heart. 12 lead uses 10 stickers but still 12 views have access to chest, chest should be dry and clean, may need to shave chest sometimes sandpapering skin/wearing it down a bit helps signals. 3 bipolar leads only limb leads: potential difference between two of three limb electrodes, lead i electrical potential btwn two arms, lead ii diff btwn avr and avf, lead iii btwn avl and avf. Unipolar limb leads are the first 6 traces avr, avl, avf. Next 6 traces are chest leads - v 1-6. Get a 2. 5 sec recording of each view and recordings of all 12 views. Bottom of each view gives you 10 sec recordings of leads of interest.
