Political science: no real definition agreed upon, who gets what, how much, and when, study of influence and influential, study of government, power, and policy. Democracy (direct and indirect/representative: political system that permits citizens to play a significant part in the governmental process, where they are vested with the power to rule themselves, usually through the election of key public officials, direct. System that allows citizens to vote directly on laws and policies: representative. System in which the populace selects representatives who play a significant role in governmental decision making. No forced voting: freedom of speech, universal franchise. Make sure they are only voting once: free press, privacy. People used to be forced to vote next to bosses and if you didn"t vote for who they wanted, you would lose your job.
