In the entry stage into the criminal justice system, three kinds of decisions are made, except: legal criteria, decisions by victims, penal & special laws, decisions by police. These are the phases of the criminal justice system, as follows, i. e. , first-entry into the system, second-prosecuting and pre-trial, third-adjudication, fourth-sentencing, and the fifth is what: treatment, rehabilitation, corrections, all of these. There are two important characteristics of the criminal justice system, the first is the system effect of all elements and procedure, and the second is: element of discretion, element of jurisdiction, element of legality, element of due process. It is the process or method whereby accusations are brought before a court of justice to determine the innocence or guilt of the accused: trial of the case, prosecution, cross-examination, investigation.
