o Skin is the largest organ by mass and surface area
• Mostly epithelial tissue with other types of tissue under the skin
• Veins everywhere and adipose as the bottom layer
• Smooth muscle is connected to hair follicles
• Dead epithelial cells are pushed up to the surface
o Act as a protective layer

• Maintain body temperature
o Sweating to combat heat
• Waste removal through sweat
• Using feedback loops
o Positive feedback loops keep going on forever
o Negative feedback loops stop when the desired result is achieved
