Anterograde amnesia the loss of the ability to store new long-term memories, forward in time retrograde amnesia is a loss and ability to access long-term memories that are previous available past is lost. The loss of the ability to store new memories after to a trauma is anterograde amnesia. this is caused by damage to other than medial temporal lobes and the hippocampus or the dmc from on. People interviewed and asia have difficulty learning new information beyond what is held in short term memory. Most of its memory loss is for declarative information. Other types of memory are more preserved such as short-term and nondeclarative memory. People with anterograde amnesia find it difficult to carry on with their lives, although success is possible. It is important to note that, and are treated separately here, it is rare to find cases of 1 degree of the other.
