Conformity: change in attitude, behaviour or belief brought about by the real or imagines pressure from others. Independence: choose to do what you want to do. Anti-conformity: do anything but what the group wants they don"t want to satisfy the group. Our behaviour may be shaped by models, even in absence of direct intentional influence. Response disinhibition: model performs desired, but prohibited, act: examples: cross walk light is red. Response facilitation: model performs legal behaviour, then we copy: example: yawning. Informational versus normative pressure: informational: group gives you information that the individual can use to make a rational decision.
