Hand Position

Option 1: Leads hands appear to be in thumbs-up but with the fingers slightly curved

instead of touching the palms, the Follow’s fingers wrap vertically around the Lead’s

Option 2: Lead’s right hand is on the shoulder blade of the Follow’s back, the left hand is

extended to the side near shoulder level, the Follow’s left hand is on the Lead’s shoulder

and the right is grasping the extended left hand of the Lead, arm below the Lead’s arm

Footwork for Lead

1. Left foot forward

2. Back to center

3. Right foot backward

4. Back to center

Footwork for Follow

1. Right foot backward

2. Back to center

3. Left foot forward

4. Back to center

Switch Move

1. Lead left foot forward, Follow right foot backward

2. Lead left foot back, Follow moves toward and past Lead

3. Once Follow is to the opposite side of Lead, begins again with basic footwork
