Interactions between elements in microsystem occur in the mesosystem. Chronosystem effects of time and repeated aspects of time. Does seem to account for most of the things that are part of students life. Helps to explain what could be going on when students behave unusually. Don"t just be responders to inappropriate behaviour but analyse it figure out why it is happening. We can then get good at understanding and helping problems. Low ability pupils might use inappropriate behaviour to mask problem. Gifted might be inclined to behave inappropriately due to: Feeling out of step" with others gain acceptance. Anger due to oversensitivity to criticism, taunts etc. Suggest to younger students why things happened why do you think he won"t play with you? or why do you think she"s saying that to you? . Ask younger students what else they might do. Use direct language and avoid metaphors with younger students.
