Tfl- from iliac crest, merges with iliotibial band and inserts on lateral condyle of tibia. Fixators, 6, run along neck of femur, act from posterior side. P- emerges from internal pelvis, turns hip internally because attached to the greater trochanter. Sciatic nerve is deep to it and provides innervations to posterior thigh and ant and post leg and entire foot. Superior gluteal nerve, artery and vein above p, inferior ones below. Inferior innervates gluteus max, superior innervates medius and minimus. Middle 3 hard to separate because gluteus max is superior to them. Obt int emerges from obturator membrane on internal side of pelvis. 6th is obturator externis in anterior to greater trochanter. All of these stabilise hip joint hamstring all originate from ischial tuberosity. All by tibial branch of sciatic nerve except for short head (common peroneal/fibular nerve) Short head starts at lateral side of femur at supracondylar ridge, Biceps onto lateral condyle, semite and mem on medial.
