Document Summary

Can have abduction of pelvis relative to femur internal / external rotation. Knee flexion / extension ankle dorsiflexion / plantar flexion. Hsf page 2 ankle inversion / eversion: inversion (turn sole of foot to face midline), eversion (turn sole of foot away from midline). Fascia layer of fibrous tissue surrounds individual muscles surrounds groups of muscles divides muscles into compartments redu(cid:272)es fri(cid:272)tio(cid:374) / allo(cid:449)s (cid:373)us(cid:272)le to (cid:858)glide(cid:859) intermuscular septa - divides thigh and leg into compartments. Deep fascia of thigh (cid:858)fas(cid:272)ia lata(cid:859) thickens laterally to form the iliotibial band (itb) attaches to lateral knee. We rest our muscles and lean against the band. Made of 3 muscles that come together in the one tendon. Arises from lumbar spine, crosses hip joint anteriorly. Inserts on trochanters on femur. iliacus psoas major psoas minor.
