Use of a range of different weapons in a robbery. As long as the victim believes that it is a real weapon, the perpetrator will be charged with armed robbery. Even as a prank it fulfills the criteria of an armed robbery up to 25 years. Mostly in public on the street, half take place on the street. What do they get robbed with? (data from 2010) Knife accounts for about half of the weapon used. Often work alone except when they are using firearms. Trying to imagine an offender"s perspective about risks and rewards, not looking at it from criminologists point of view. Violence is the offenders" response to the victim"s resistance . In planning in the clip the offender looks at how to minimize victim resistance in order to prevent potential violence. They need to be prepared to use violence, and this is the risk that they prepare to take.
