Anything that interferes with this process is called noise. Serves as a foundation for all managerial functions. Translate the symbols used for the purpose of interpreting its meaning. Communicate with candour without coming acroess as controlling. Effective listener forgives performance errors and focuses on the content. What body says is sometimes more vital than our words. Most of our interpretation of information is based off body language, facial expressions etc. Messages and information sent from top management down to employees. Messages flow from lower to the higher levels. Lateral/diagonal exchange of information among peers or co-workers. People from different functions are unwilling to communicate with each other.
