Concerning the original predisposition to good in human nature: we have 3 dispositions which mean we cannot be good in nature, 1. ) Predisposition to animality (as a living being): mechanical self-love for the self- preservation, for propagation of the species (through sexual drive) and for the preservation of offspring, thirdly for community with other humans (social drive). Predisposition to humanity in him (a living and rational being): cause of self love, want to gain equal worth in opinion of others, no one superior to the self. Anxiety about others wanting power over you, leads to unjust desire to have superiority over others. Jealousy and rivalry cause secret/open hostility to others. Worried others will have superiority over you so for security and prevention become competitive (like nature wanted) as an incentive to culture. Vices of culture- envy, joy in others misfortunes= diabolical vices. )predisposition to personality (rational responsible being)- inseperable respect for the moral law.
