1. Is PowerPoint the devil? Explain your answer.
- She’s very against it
- Acknowledges the fact it is about the user but still doesn’t seem to take any of
that to consider
- Doesn’t have the best idea of what Powerpoint is
- Only gives one idea of what powerpoint is and how it can be used
- Hard and fast understanding of PowerPoint
- Always talks about the effect that it has on children despite the fact that there

2. Consider Keller’s use of hypothetical situations and analogies. Find two such
instances. Do they work? Compare them to the other analogies and
hypotheticals from earlier readings.
Football coach:
- Not common knowledge
- Far too specific examples
- Doesn’t consider all options
- When using either/ or it needs to be as general as possible

- Alienates readers
Drugs:
- Compares PowerPoint to drugs → pathos
- There are other options you could have chosen, many things have spread
through culture
- Not the only addictive thing ever
- Conflating popularity with addiction
