Piracy, needed a platform that controlled it, dvd and movies seen in the cinema. Competition between movies and piracy for distribution: richness and reach. Reach: the number of people exchanging information (quantity) Richness: concerns with bandwith, interactivity, reliability, security and currency and degree to which info can be customised. The qualities that give the information (good or bad) (qualitive) + ordering of richness (bollywood films vs the more recent films)
