Reintermediation: the transplanting of traditional media organisations with companies that work well with the logic of digital media eg, spotify taking over the radio. Netflix and spotify, ecommerce business (paying for it) makes a free thing not! Deconstruction: dismantling of traditional business models no need for the middle man. Piracy, needed a platform that controlled it, dvd and movies seen in the cinema. Competition between movies and piracy for distribution: richness and reach. Reach: the number of people exchanging information (quantity) Richness: concerns with bandwith, interactivity, reliability, security and currency and degree to which info can be customised. The qualities that give the information (good or bad) (qualitive) + ordering of richness (bollywood films vs the more recent films)
