It is your responsibility to know the role and path of evidence, to: Direct vs circumstantial evidence: direct means the evidence can be understood by the jury without any further information (self-evident, circumstantial means that the evidence on its own does not allow guilt or innocence to be assessed. Alternate explanations for the evidence can still be made. Direct vs hearsay evidence: direct means based on the witness"s own senses- directly experienced, hearsay refers to statements which are not directly attested to by the witness- rumours. Forensic archaeological evidence: written notes, photos/sketches/videos/maps, the expert report, collected physical evidence, testimony (in person or via affidavit) Relevant vs admissible vs weight: determined by context of any recovered physical evidence.
