History of padding
2 types of canoes:

K-Boat (kyak)

Kyak= mans boat or hunters boat

2 types of basic kayaks- one was built with light driftwood while the other was made by
stretching animal skins over frames made of whalebone.
Varied in shape, size and design according to owners
Materials used to make kyaks have changed overtime ( skin, fiberglass, plastic)
