Birth & the perinatal env: perinatal env: env surrounding birth, meds given to mom during delivery, delivery practices, social env shortly after baby is born. Psy250(3: some meds used by 95% moms, reduce pain, induce contractions, relax mom, can reduce ability to push effectively, can make babies lethargic & inattentive.
