Hba1c >6. 5%, or 2h pg > 11. 1 or random pg >11. 1 can be used to used to diagnose diabetes: diagnosis of diabetes is based on thresholds of glycemia that are associated with microvascular disease. What is driving the diabetes epidemic: the only way to control diabetes epidemic is to stop people getting diabetes so reduce the incidence of t2d!
