Document Summary

Education is one form of learning but learning in the psychological sense is much more broad. Learning is something we develop as we develop. Patience: inhibiting immediate desires and develop self-control to get a more desirable outcome. Learning: (cid:498)an enduring change within an organism brought about by experience that makes a change in behaviour possible. (cid:499: enduring: changes are relatively stable. Transient learning is unstable: experience: practice, previous trials in experiments i. e. a history of experiencing events, makes a change in behaviour possible: acknowledging that there might be learning occurring right now. Learning does not equal performance: although performance is affected by learning it also depends on: Opportunity: performance is affected by things beyond the scope of learning like opportunity. Motivation: people perform differently depending on their motivational state. Sensory and motor capabilities: fatigue or sensory adaptations these are not forms of learning. Reflexes are automatic and usually very fast as they don"t require thought.
