The neck expands around the prey: gray rat snakes and milk snakes are constrictors, when they capture their prey, they wrap their body around it quickly and they suffocate it, they don"t crush it. Also inject digestive enzymes: crab spider and assassin bug inject toxins + enzymes, robber fly watch for flying insects, they race after it, they grab it with their front legs and they stab it with their mouth part. They inject poison for digestion: short tailed shrew has a venomous bite. They will find a porcupine and they will run around it and they keep on slashing it and bitting on the head causing wounds, makes the porcupine bleed and get weaker. Preys can fix many hazard: prey can fight back, white tail deer have powerful legs for leaping also kicking. The one that do succeed, pass on their genes and those traces become more reinforce through time.
