Film is shown backwards in terms of time. When black/white scene turns to color that is when the timelines merge. Main character kills teddy thinking it is person who killed his wife. Attempted to make main character learn by having him pick up objects and get shocked. Can become permanent if there is significant brain damage. When it happens to a person they don"t even know that their memory is destroyed. You can warn them but they will forget immediately. Other story is how everything is playing out in her brain. The characters in this movie do not only. Solipsism: nothing that we perceive is actually real. Kind of like inception but with video games. Some characters want to be in real world. 2 robots in love and they are running out of battery. In human beings we can"t be rational without emotions. If our emotions are removed we become too rational in decisions that don"t matter.
