Last week - different ways of conceptualizing the law. Law : organization of legality in canada (i) canadian constitution and canadian federalism. A constitution is the fundamental law of a political system, because all other laws must conform to the constitution, and it gives legitimacy to the exercise of state power: peace of legislation that constitutes everything else. It outlines both the basis of political representation and the methods by which representative are chosen - political representation. It comprises of the constitutional laws (written documents and cases of the common laws, Conventions are not legally binding) - written law, certain aspects of common law that were enforced ay the time (2) canadian constitution and canadian federalism. Federalism is a form of government that embodies the principal of territorial representation. It does so by giving regional governments the exclusive right to pass law on particular subjects. No or minimum subordination between levels of government.
