In september 1959, 14 year-old steven truscott was found guilty of raping and murdering his 12 year-old class mate, lynn harper. Steven truscott became the youngest person to be part of canada"s death row, when he was sentenced to death by the courts. Truscott never was sentenced to death, and his sentence became life in prison instead. In 1969 after serving 10 years in prison, steven was released on parole. Nearly 40 years have gone by since the crime, which makes it difficult to base any opinions besides the ones that have already been made by the media, since there is not much light on the situation anymore. Steven truscott finally got everything he was asking for after 40 years of no justice being served to neither his family nor lynn harper"s family, he was acquitted of his crimes in 1959.
