We must never forget that the record in which we judge, these defendants today is the record in which history will us tomorrow. The trial at nuremberg has become a founding of our modern political heritage internationally: after the nuremberg, the international declaration of human rights was created, the international criminal court as well (more modern) History will know that whatever could be said, they were allowed to say. They have been given the kind of trial which they, in the days of their pomp and power never gave to any man. Nuremberg- significant for certain principles developed 3 core principles: under principle vi (6) Planning, preparation, initiation or waging of a war of aggression ex: unprovoked invasion. Violations of laws or customs of war. Ex: murder, ill treatment of civilians, deportation and slave labor. Genocide, murder, extermination, enslavement, deportation, and other inhumane acts.
