Document Summary
Focus only on lecture for this specific lecture. Like abstract (layout) but written like a short essay. Being able to talk about things in relation to the real world. Our heads cannot get bigger, will eventually hit a evolutionary wall: we have portions in our brain and certain functions that are only found in our brains that allow us to get addicted. Cerebrum, corpus callosum, forebrain and old brain(brain stem) Old brain: given that name because it is the brain we had when we were chimps. Higher learning, emotion ect associate with newer parts like forebrain and cerebrum. How we used to learn this stuff: through injury. Intentionally lesioning parts of the brain to understand how this works: modern day: machines that can show the brain in action. Somatosensory: what you touch vs. what you feel. In our brain we have a little representation of ourselves represented in our brain.
