Idea that god created the world as a smooth hierarchy. Other important ideas: seductive whiteness, meaning of the word enterprise, austerity, association of the great white north, degeneration and regeneration in relation to environmental determinism, Blumenbach writing this massively influential theory without ever leaving germany, primitive being defined through primordial instead (different meanings), symmetry as key to race.
