Over 200,000 canadians play some form of football every year, in comparison, there are over a million football players in high school alone in the us. The cfl has gained popularity in recent years, and thanks to a million tv deal from tsn, revenues have increased as well. million in tv revenue per team, and over billion of overall revenue as a league annually. Football is a very north american centralized sport, as participation levels and popularity is very low outside the continent. The nfl, ncaa, and american high school league are all industry leaders, as professional and collegiate teams consistently sell out stadiums above 50,000 person capacity, and bring in over billion dollars revenues. Nike, reebok, and under armour are all industry leaders in football equipment and apparel.
